Approach
The St. Peter Lutheran School's curriculum is firmly rooted in reading, listening skills, oral communication, written expression, mathematics, social studies, religion, and science. Age-appropriate exposure to art, German, Spanish, computers, physical education, library, music, and drama further enriches the program.
St. Peter Lutheran School uses the Core Knowledge Sequence and individualized intructional strategies as their guide. This philosophy promotes educational quality by eliminating common curriculum gaps, building on prevously learned material, and yet gives our teachers the flexibility to better address the individual needs of a class.
Commitment
Teachers at St. Peter Lutheran are well qualified, dedicated and genuinely love their students. They work in a loving environment where support, challenge, and daily encouragement converge. All of our instructors are certified teachers with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
Setting
St. Peter Lutheran School cultivates a close, nuturing, personable campus where children feel secure, valued and successful. The program is expansive in it's scope, yet sensitive to the individual steps that make up the journey of each student.
Engagement
We believe that children learn best by doing and the students at St. Peter Lutheran School 'do' a lot. the are continually encouraged to explore their creative adn intellectual potential through special projects, presentations, assemblies, field trips, team sports, service projects, and the visual and preforming arts.
Class Size
St. Peter Lutheran School maintains a low teacher to student ratio by limiting enrollment for each grade level. Classroom learning takes place in a variety of small group settings offering the students the personal attention that they need. The result is a family environment with happy, engaged children who love learning.
