Coaching Philosophy
The philosophy of our coaches is centered on the idea that they must first be role models in faith and action. Our coaches understand that students observe them on and off the athletic field, and they seek to exhibit Christ-like behavior for students to follow and encourage students in their own development of these traits.
The athletic philosophy mirrors the philosophy of St. Peter Lutheran School and coaching staff and volunteers seek to maintain this philosophy at ALL times.
Goals
It is the coaches’ main goal to emphasize quality and excellence in sport, guided by faith, but ultimately athletes should HAVE FUN.
Additionally, coaches’ goals include assisting the athletes in developing a Christian attitude, confidence in their individual God-given abilities, understanding and respect for others and the sport, leadership skills, concepts of team work and cooperation, and responsibility and accountability for their actions.
